Saving a simulation...how? - bnailwedge - 02-10-2007

I am having a tough time trying to figure out how I can save a simulation. I run a simulation, then...if I want to close out 3DS, I come back later and I have to re-run the simulation. How can I save it so that I don't have to re-run it each time?

In FumeFX UI Dialog / General...
Output Path - This is the path where all outputs for the simulation will be stored (output files, snapshots, and illumination maps). This path is automatically generated when you create a FumeFX object, but it can be changed by selecting the “…” button.

In addition to what wrote Bandu.

You can run a simulation named Sim01 (it's store on the disk).
Change the name of your simulation with the Output path button (Sim02, for exemple) to store another one.
The to reload the first sim, just clic Output path and select the first fdx of the Sim01 simulation.

You can move fxd files to other directories or hard drives and then reload them.
