AfterFLICS Issues - shawnolson - 07-03-2018
I have noticed some issues with AfterFLICS recently. On my license server there is an issue where AfterFLICS is constantly using an entire Core and when I open AfterFLICS Tools 4.1.2 I often see the info in the attached screen shot. When this is happening, no licenses are available to any machine.
I am trying to figure out the cause of this. I noticed that the service status said it's Using port 5022 but in the messages section it says its listening on port 5023. Is that relevant?
Any help would be appreciated.

Could you please let us know what OS is installed?
Does everything goes back to normal if you restart the AfterFLICS service ?
So far we didn't have similar report.

Thanks for getting back to me.
My LS is running on Windows 10. This issue plagued me for several days. But it seems to be gone now. What/how it was fixed (hopefully permanently) I do not know.

I have noticed that this issue actually returns regularly on the Windows 10 system I have Afterflics running on. Attached is a screen shot.
It seems that this always happens once the server has been running for a while. Restarting will make the usage drop for a period but it always returns to this state. Any time I log on to the server after any period of time, Afterflics is using 25% of the CPU (which is one core on that machine).

This could happen if there is a port sniffer or some similar app that tries to communicate with various ports.
If you have something like that, please let us know so that we can try to reproduce it.

It's a standard Windows 10 install with minimal applications (mainly just license services, Backburner, Autodesk Vault and almost nothing else). It seems that Afterflics is always the one thing running out of control on that machine. I've never installed anything to sniff ports (I'm not really sure what the purpose of a port sniffer would be...)
