FumeFX 2.1c AfterBurn 4.0d not friendly in 3dsMax2012SP2 - gakkie - 12-05-2011
Hi, I'm having trouble with installing FumeFX 2.1c AfterBurn 4.0d on 3dsMax2012 SP2 x64.
It seems plugin which installed later does not working.
Installing FumeFX after Afterburn:
3dsMax crashes when rendering FumeFX
Installing Afterburn after FumeFX:
Afterburn particle can be seen, but it doesnt render afterburn particles.
Is this known bug or am I missing something?
OS we are using windowsXP

btw.. did you get the latest installer of FumeFX 2.1c for max 2012 as we have updated it a week ago ?

I finally managed to install both of them correctly, and Yes, I used the latest installer.
The problem was that those(i meant Afterburn's & FumeFX's) "FusionWorks.dlr" were different version.(afterburn 4.0d:1.3 FumeFX2.1c:1.4)
To install correclty,I did th following 3 steps
1.Installing FumeFX
2.Installing Afterburn
3.copying FumeFX's FusionWorks.dlr file inside "common folder", luckly both of them did worked correclty.
Perhaps I use WindowsXP though...
It would be best to have both of FusionWorks.dlr are same version

I am glad that everything is sorted out now.
Installer should check versions and keep only the most recent one, so I'll check if there is an error there.
