Windows 7 and Flashing windows loop - Jordan - 07-07-2011

While running windows 7 and max 2010 (which is not win7 complaint) sometimes when simming or previewing or just doing nothing with the preview window open and the fumFX UI open max would go into a windows switching loop that will make me force close max.
I thought it was a 2010 thing but I have since noticed this issue in max 2011 and fumeFX 2.1c.
It seems that the fumeFX preview window keeps being brought to the front then getting minimised again.
Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I get this all the time, usually pressing the windows key 1-time works.

Thanks for report. Too bad that on our max 2010x64 it does not happen but we will look into this.

A workmate suggested windows+D to show desktop then click back on one window and it seem to fix it!

I've seen this as well. Thanks for the potential workarounds.
I was wondering if it was related to having the viewport display on a refreshing the Max UI?
It often happens to me when doing an over night sim and returning to the same max session the next morning (while viewport display is enabled and the Reduce value is quite low). The resulting refresh attempt puts it into the loop
(and Max's meomory consumption shoot way up at well). Just before I kill the process I see it is rediculously large.
